I am a descendant of Marie Michel Hypolite Louis De La Noue de Vair. He was a native of Pontijac, Gers, France. He married Adelaide Colla November 1,1817 at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. I visited the site today to find information on my dad's family, only to find there is nothing. My grandfather is listed, and nothing after that. My grandfather had 6 children, and they all had children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was a bit disappointing. We are in Windsor, Ontario.

I have the Lanoue family back to the Fidlers. This Lanoue came from St. Paul Minnesota. I would very much enjoy finding out if any of the Lanoue's that you have are related. L. E. I have a gggg grandmother Genevive Lanoue,born in Lacolle Canada who married Jean Baptiste Laroche in 1834, Napierville Canada. Genevive from family history is of Micmac Indian orgin. Hello I am from Oxnard, Ca USA I have a life long friend named Joe Lanoue. His father's name was Roger Lanoue. He was an adopted boy coming from French Canada and ultimately setteled in Southern California. He was employed as a school teacher for many years in the Oxnard Public School System. His wife Vi had two children Joe and Chris. Mr. Roger Lanoue passed away about 8 years ago.

M. Lanoue, I am Robert Lanoue. I am 52 years old and was born in Cohoes, NY (Sept 22, 1952). I was not raised speaking French and learned very little of my Quebec heritage. I have greatly enjoyed your Lanoue website since I first learned of it a few years ago. I thank you and congratulate you on your wonderful work. I would like to order your book...actually I would like to order two copies of your book, one copy in French and one in English. As an adult I have been very interested in learning more of my French/Canadian ancestry. My mother's family was also French/Canadian. She was born Muriel Begin in Brunswick Main. I am always trying to improve my French Language skills which are rather poor I am sorry to say. My wife Brenda and I enjoy traveling to Quebec when ever we can. We go up to Montreal at least a few times each year. We just celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Quebec City, August 10 - 14. Very Interesting, My Father was born in Vermont, But lived in Canada for a while as a child. He was one of 15 children two died very young tho. Using "old" public domain software I had traced my family back to Port Royal approximately 1668 - descendants of Pierre LaNoue who later moved to Montreal, then to Kankakee, IL and finally settled in St. Jo/Aurora, KS. Unfortunately, I lost the entire program and "experts" have not been able to "find" it - but I do have a list of personas(over 500) and marriages(about 300). My problem is simple, I have no way of reconstructing the families (parents, children, marriages, divorces et cetera). Do you have any suggestions? I just ran across the message Gatean Lanoue posted on Genform in July 2003 asking about parents of Frank Lanoue who married Helen Ryan in Milton Vermont in 1946. Helen was my wife's second cousin. As a child, my wife (who grew up in New Britain Conn.) spent part of her summers with Helen adn Frank in thir house on Main Street in Milton. But she knew Frank as Frank Ladue, not Lanoue. Is Ladue the American version of Lanoue?? What other info do you have on Frank? Did you ever find the name of his parents? J'habite à Tourcoing, mais je suis originaire de la Loire-Atlantique, je m'intéresse de + en + à mon arbre généalogique. Le nom Bogard aurait des origines soit allemande ou néerlandais (il y en a beaucoup dans le département des Vosges) et également en Bretagne et Loire Atlantique. Mon père qui a 83 ans a remonté jusque dans les années 1700-1800, nous sommes bloqués à ce niveau, mais pour le moment, nous n'avons (et moi en particulier) pas beaucoup de temps pour faire des recherches plus approfondies. J'ai progressé dans mes recherches, j'en suis à mon arrière-arrière Grand-Père Jean LANOUE et DUVAUD Jeanne, père de 3 fils Louis marié le 5/2/1743 Vignoux sous les Aix et Jacques LANOUE marié le 23/2/1740 à St michel de Volangis, pour le 3 ème pas de renseignement sauf 3 fils mariés avec 3 soeur Pitoret ou Pitoreau. C'est bien de constater qu'il y a autant de Lanoue. À part les membres de ma propre famille, je n'ai jamais croisé d'autres Lanoue. Ce site me permet de découvrir mes origines, j'en suis fier. J'aimerais saluer tous les Lanoue de ce monde et leur souhaiter beaucoup de succès dans la vie. Peut-être qu'on se croisera un jour... His granddaughter Laura Philomine Larguier Jackson was my great grandmother. I am trying to establish the line between Marie Michel Hypolite Louis de LaNoue and his father, Joseph Francois Louis Marthe de LaNoue and the earlier de LaNoues. Je vous félicite pour vos recherche exceptionnel c'est super extra je commence à peine à faire des recherches sur mes ancêtres et je trouve votre site captivant. Malheureusement j'ai beaucoup de difficulté à les retrouvés car mon grand père se nomme :Marc-Aurèle dit Stanislas Lanoue et il n'existe aucun régistre de sa naissance car l'église est passée au feu quelque semaine après son baptème et il s'est marié à Adrienne Mercier.Je crois qu'il se seais marié dans la région de St-Jean ,Henryville ou St-Sébastien.Je sais que le travail est ardue mais votre site m'encourage à continué.un gros merci pour votre site.
